What we collect
- Page views. Each page load sends the page path and the referring site to our own server and to Google Analytics 4. We use this to see which teams and features people read. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off.
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address, so we can send The D2 Wire. Unsubscribe from any issue.
- Run registrations. For WeHoopToo Runs we collect your name, email, phone, an emergency contact and your waiver acceptance. Payments are handled by the payment processor; we never see your card number.
- Followed teams. “My Teams” is stored only in your browser (local storage). It never leaves your device.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets its usual _ga cookies. Signed-in editors have a session cookie for the admin area. There are no advertising cookies.
Who else sees it
Our hosting and database providers (Netlify, Supabase) process the data on our behalf. Google receives analytics data. Nobody buys or rents it from us.
Scores, stats and names
Schedules, scores, box scores and player statistics are public information published by the NCAA, conferences and schools. If a stat line about you is wrong, email us and we'll correct it.
